Well the first half of the school year is done! That is so hard to believe. If your student has not informed you by now, I wanted to make an announcement on here. My husband and I are expecting our first child at the end of March! Therefore, this quarter will be crucial to your student's learning. My due date is right before we get out for Spring Break, so the goal is to finish all curriculum that will be included on the Milestone test by that time. Here is what we will be doing within each grade level over the next couple of weeks. Sixth graders will be finishing up their equations unit this month. We will be reviewing one-step equations over the next week and then move on to solving and graphing one-step inequalities. Seventh graders will begin their Geometry unit this week. They will be learning about shapes and angles over the next week.
****If at ANY point you feel you are getting behind, please attend tutoring. Sixth grade tutoring is on Wednesday mornings at 8 and seventh grade tutoring is on Thursday mornings at 8:15. Please let me know if you plan on attending tutoring so I can give you a pass to come to my classroom on those days. Also, make sure you are doing your homework and spending some time on IXL. Practice on IXL should be done on days you do not have written homework from the workbook. Please see me if you need any reminders about IXL. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected]
