It is a brand new school year and I am very excited about new things. I hope you all had a wonderful summer!! This year, I will be teaching both 6th and 7th grade math. When you visit my blog, make sure you know which grade level I am discussing. The first thing sixth graders review and learn about is multi-digit decimal operations. We have been working on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with multi-digit decimals. This week, we have been focusing on division with decimals and finding the least common multiple of two numbers. Next week, we will move into greatest common factor and the distributive property. If you need extra help, please refer to your students workbook and look in the first chapter. Seventh graders have been talking about integers. We reviewed the topic of integers and introduced operations. Students now know how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with integers. If you need extra practice with this concept, please refer to the first chapter in your workbook. Please feel free to comment on any post with either a statement or a question! I will update again soon!
