It is hard to believe next week is Thanksgiving! This week, 6th grade is starting a new unit on algebraic equations. Students will be solving one-step equations involving all four operations. The homework this week will come from the volume 2 workbook. 7th grade students are continuing with graphing proportional relationships. Their homework will come from IXL.com . Students must complete lessons K1, K2, and K3 by Friday to receive their weekly homework grade. If you do not have a computer at home, you are welcome to come to my room or to the media center from 8:15-8:45 to complete these lessons. "Not having and electronic device" will not be an acceptable homework excuse for this week. Over the break, I would encourage students to practice their math skills on IXL. Students are awarded extra credit points for practice done on IXL that has not been assigned by myself. Students may work on anything in 6th and 7th grade. Finally, due to a lot of things going on before and after school this week, I will not be holding tutoring on Tuesday morning. I will start it back after the Thanksgiving break. Have a wonderful week and a Happy Thanksgiving!
